We were going to write a blog post for November about Bonfire Night events in Trearddur and the Holyhead, Rhosneigr & Valley areas but as we come to post this, local events are either cancelled or in a state of hiatus.  Keep an eye on our Facebook page and we’ll keep you updated as we find the latest on these.

Instead, and given the current situation, we thought we’d highlight a few days out and activities, available around the Seacroft over the winter period. Many can be done as small groups, some are more suited to individuals; all can be enhanced by starting, finishing or including within them a little light refreshment… obviously.

For example, in our October post, we talked about how we welcome dogs and highlighted a few dog friendly walks in the area. If that’s you, then you can still read that article, do the walk and bring your pooch for some post perambulation pampering.

However, as the nights get longer and the days cooler, we thought we’d highlight a few of our favourite winter activities and some that our regular visitors like to do when they visit the Seacroft too.

Things to do in Trearddur throughout winter

We love winter by the sea and the opportunities we get to go out and explore when conditions are crisp and clear.  For visitors who like golf, Anglesey is ideal for a winter golf break, with six courses on the island.  Holyhead Golf Club and ‘The Beach’ pitch and putt are both within a mile and a half of our hotel.  For road bikers we’re an ideal stop for tea and medals, so make sure your Anglesea route takes in Holy Island.  If ‘activity’ is not your thing then a number of Anglesea’s attractions stay open throughout the winter (we’re thinking Rib Rides for the adventurous and Anglesea Sea Zoo for the more relaxed.

So, there you go. If you’re lucky enough to find a Halloween or Bonfire Night party near Trearddur, to kick off the early part of the festive season, we’ll be here if you’d like to book a table and make night of it.

If however, the current situation precludes that, then perhaps you’ll think of us and pop in when you’re enjoying the great outdoors and the best that winter has to offer in Anglesey.
